I spent the last 1.5 weeks in London on holiday and sadly missed out on English cupcakes:( I did find one cute shop called Candy Cakes, which was right down the street from the Cambridge Theatre. We were running in to catch Chicago and I stopped and drooled on the window. Of course, we didn't have time to stop in before the show and I promised myself I'd buy a shiny colorful cake afterwards.
They were closed. Damn. I was left to stand there, staring through the glass like a hungry kid, leaving little face marks on the glass.
On my UK adventure next summer, I will check it out! The cakes were super colorful, almost neon and very shiny. I'm adding DayGlo cupcakes to my list of things to attempt. I'd love to hear from anyone who has tried their cakes.
