I have been insanely busy while I prepare for two upcoming Chicago shows this weekend. Come check out my holiday wares at Saturday's Empty Bottle show and Sunday's Elbo Room show.
New snowflake and peppermint bark soaps will be available, as well as new soy candle fragrances.
Tonight, I also had the opportunity to learn polymer plate making at Evanston Print and Paper. This is an adorable shop in Evanston, Illinois and the ladies who run it will teach you all about letterpress, screen printing, and bookbinding. I've been working on some Illustrator designs and hope to feature those in my Etsy shop next year. With the skills I learned tonight, I can use my own sketches and designs to create letterpress cards. It also means that I can produce customized stationary!
I am taking a small break tonight with a glass of merlot and a special broadcast of John Lennon's final interview. He was and will always be my favorite Beatle. I never cease to be touched by the power of his words and the poetry that he wove into his songs.
Wishing you peace and love.
